While the sinensis is similar to the floribunda, it bears more rounded, full clusters of strongly fragrant flowers which open more or less all at once. This beautiful succulent grows to about 1' tall by 1-2' wide. Orange flowers with fluffy yellow centers bloom almost all year long. Flowers are on tall spikes above foliage. Plants stay evergreen but will freeze to the ground in the event of serious frost. Frost-damaged plants will regrow in spring.

Physical weed control, including mulching, or hand removal protects the watershed from harmful chemicals.
Apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch in planting beds to conserve water, suppress weeds, and protect the soil from compaction and erosion.
Remove irrigation water and fertilizer from areas where you don't want weeds to grow.
