Botanical name:Phyllostachys bambusoides
Phyllostachys bamusoides is a giant grass. In a controlled enviroment it grows 6-10 ft. high. In an uncontrolled enviroment it grows 10-20 ft. high. Dense foliage makes it a good screen or hedge. Can take much drought but looks better with regular water.

Check soil moisture below the surface with a soil probe or large screwdriver, trowel or shovel. Don't assume the plants need water just because the soil surface looks dry.
Remove irrigation water and fertilizer from areas where you don't want weeds to grow.
